I can’t believe how quickly Miss Leah is growing. 18 months already!
We took her and her big brother for a walk last month to get some photos to mark the milestone.
The fall colours were still bright and the grass was wet from the night time rain.
The sun was just starting to peek from behind the clouds and flocks of geese passed overhead, on their way to warmer lands.
It was a magnificent morning.
I stopped on the way home from driving my son to work today to take a few images of her for a birthday party invitation. Â She will be seven soon and time seems to fly more quickly each year. Â The realization of how grown up she is getting has put me in a bit of a reflective mood.
Slowing down is a constant battle for me and I don’t believe I will conquer the demon any time soon; but I have been learning to stop to and take a breath every now and then.
And when I do, everything changes.
– From today:
She teaches me so many things when I just stop and listen (or watch):
There is beauty to be found everywhere if we just open our eyes to see it.
Friendship comes in all forms.
True love is unconditional.
Life is so incredibly precious and is to be lived. Â -How sad is it is to waste even a moment of it.
You are here, right now, in this moment. Â See it, feel it and live it.
Appreciate it.
So true! Beautiful!
Beautiful! And very well said.
