Beautiful family, beautiful kids, beautiful people.

When Max and Clara retired they moved across Canada and bought a beautiful property on the bank of the Shubenacadie River. They have been been busy ever since, enjoying their new nest, making it their own and spending time with a very special grand daughter who just happens to live close by.
Their house is a wonderful place to visit and the door is always open to neighbours and guests. Their warmth of their hospitality is only outshone by the love they share for each other.
It has been such a treat to get to know this adorable couple.
It doesn’t take long to realize how important family is to this wonderful couple. Dionne grew up in beautiful Prince Edward Island; Scott in Nova Scotia. They currently live in Ontario, but returned to their roots for an island wedding. Dionne included Queen Anne’s Lace in her bouquet and sprigs of blueberries from Scott’s hometown of Oxford Nova Scotia decorated the church and reception. They spent their special day surrounded by their families and friends (and some of the cutest kids I have ever seen) with laughter and love in great abundance. It was a wonderful day and I was touched to be included in their beautiful celebration.
It has been a wonderful year. I have so much to be thankful for. I have met some wonderful people this year, and got back in contact with old friends too. Together, we have made some beautiful images.
Be still.
As we enjoy these last few days of warmth I find myself looking back one last time at summer.
The sun had just rose in the sky.
Her light was soft and warm on our faces.
There was a gentle breeze that whispered in the air.
And the ocean sang her most gentlest of songs as her waves came to meet the red sand of the island shore.
