This very well may be the longest a bride has ever had to wait for her wedding photographs. (Hang my head in shame.)
I’ve had a perfect storm of events which practically halted all my editing for a few months, but the weather has cleared somewhat and I now have time to work on my back log of images.
Mr. & Mrs. Burns:
My beautiful niece and her handsome fiancé had been planning a wedding during the warmer months, but everything got changed when a work opportunity came about which meant a move for their little family clear across the country.
The thought of getting married in their new home without their families able to attend didn’t appeal at all to them so fate intervened and their summer wedding was changed into a beautiful intimate winter wedding!
With the help of family and friends they had a beautiful wedding day filled with lots of love, laughter and touching moments. Shauna kept the dress she had bought for her summer wedding and completed it with a beautiful fur jacket made by her grandmother. Her pretty bridesmaids complimented her look with cocktail dresses and black capes. Shauna’s favourite flower, red gerber dasies brightened up the snowy afternoon and lots of candles from the gorgeous centrepieces added a bit of sparkle to the ceremony and reception which included immediate family members at the Metepenagiag Lodge in Red Bank, New Brunswick. Following a delicious meal and lots of yummy cupcakes, the celebration was moved to Miramichi where the happy couple were joined by more family and friends as they danced the night away!
On a side note- When the Shauna told me she was going to have a winter wedding, I told her that we would be able to do a few pretty pictures outdoors with some snow covered trees as a backdrop; but not many as it might be too cold. It never occurred to me just how cold it could be. January 4, 2014 dawned clear and very, very cold. (By cold I mean -24 bone chilling cold!) I have never, ever taken photographs outdoors in temperatures even close to this cold before, but this brave and easy going bunch not only braved the weather (without coats on!), they actually managed to looked relaxed and beautiful while doing it!

These are beautiful pics! You’ve done it again, Mrs. Malley!
These photos brought tears to my eyes. I sadly couldn’t attend the wedding as I was on my honeymoon, so these photos really meant a lot. Shauna – your wedding was simply perfect!
