Somewhere between being a little girl and a teenager,
Is a wonderful age.
An age when your days are no longer filled with toys,
But a long time before (a very long time -if you are reading this girls) before boyfriends and school dances.
-When having a best friend is the most wonderful thing in the world.
And your days are filled with giggles, and daydreams and adventures.
-When birthday parties are planned for weeks
And then talked about for months.
-When the highlight of your week is getting to spend time with your super cool next door neighbour,
Who will do your hair in any style you want (She’s in hairdressing school and loves having someone to practice on.)
-And getting your picture taken is an adventure,
(Even if the only available matching shirts are black.)
– And you know that you won’t get much sleep that night.
Cause you won’t want to crush your beautiful new up-do.
